2 Get a Kit

When an emergency happens, you may have little to no time to grab the individual necessities you and your family may need.

That's why it is important to have a pre-assembled preparedness kit that contains items (at least three days' worth) that will enable you to take care of everything, from minor scrapes to life-threatening emergencies.

Remember to check your kit every six months and replace any outdated or expired items. It's also a good idea to keep a "mini" version of your emergency supply kit in your vehicle in case you are traveling or commuting when an emergency occurs.
